The Limestone County Sheriff's Office said on Twitter that 35-year-old Mickey Paulk was caught Thursday night following a chase in which he rammed an investigator's vehicle. Authorities had been seeking Paulk on multiple felony warrants unrelated to the squirrel named "Deeznutz," made infamous after police said they were warned about a meth-fueled, trained attack squirrel.

No not rabid, but possibly given meth, according to the article: Deeznutz couldn't be tested for meth and has been released.

"couldn't be tested"

does that mean we can't/didn't test him, or the test was negative?

Article didn't say, but sounds like they didn't test and just released because it was feisty or what . Which sounds like a bad idea, especially if it's dependent on people to get fed.

"Deeznutz", catchy name for a squirrel.

Especially for a possible meth fueled attack one. Wonder if it was trained to go for the "nuts" like Chopper from Stand By Me.
