Above is what my custom pc i have since FEBRUARY 26, 2015. The computer is 4 and half years old now. Everything runs fine but I want to make a new computer. At the time it cost me about $1800 to build the computer. I understand none of you would pay any money on this computer but I know these SPEC are pretty decent for today and can run any 1080p game. No 4k game but 1080K it runs fine. The most I would think I could get is about $500 to $700.

You could get 1000CAD~ = 767USD

I sold 1450CAD for GTX 1080 i7 6700k 16gb... 500gb ssd... for 1113USD.... Year ago...

You are including  a monitor, 2 more CPU cores...

I was including much better GPU, larger SSD....

It depends how fast you want to flip it. I lost 300$~ because I invested in the system right before ryzen came out, then there was no interest anymore. I use to sell computers all the time, but Ryzen ruined that for me, too much progress to hold value.

Your current system is about good for anything you throw at  it. Might want to get a new GPU, DDR4, or a new SSD.
