krmathis
Log on to the system, then run this command: startx If the process fails it tells you the reason! Solaris
markwolfe Veteran Posted February 5, 2004 Veteran Share Posted February 5, 2004 Can you get to a login prompt (text or GUI)? A text login is better for the reason Solaris gave. When things work well, a GUI is nice. But when you have problems, you can't beat seeing the faults!

umerh
I think this is the problem with Virtual PC because I ran MandrakeMove on the Virtual PC. It gave errors and then it asked me the installation method. Now I dont know what installation method to use I burned MandrakeMOve ISO to the CD-R and it worked fine. Now my question is how to install mandrake 9.2 without disturbing any data on the hdd coz i have really important data on it.
