Dynamics 365 gets 74 new features in early access for 2019 release wave 2

In recent weeks, Microsoft has introduced some updates to its Dynamics 365 services. These include an improved HoloLens 2 experience, Flow leveraging Virtual Agent for Customer Service, and more. New integrations for the the product line of applications were also unveiled by the tech giant last month, ahead of this year's Inspire conference.

Now, Microsoft has announced that Dynamics 365 early access capabilities for 2019 release wave 2, revealed last week, are now available. These include 74 new features across applications like Dynamics 365 for Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Field Service, Finance and Operations, and Retail, as well as the Power Platform which comprises of PowerApps, Flow, and Power BI.

Some of these became available in early access last Friday, while others have entered public preview now. In particular, the latter involves a plethora of new capabilities for the Finance and Operations, and Retail services. Since these enhancements will become generally available for users in production environments in October, the two-month period provides application administrators time to take note of and properly review them. Most of the changes introduced last week will be enabled for end-users automatically. However, those in the aforementioned two services will have to go through administrator/analyst approval before reaching end-user availability. You can go over all these features in detail by reading the 2019 release wave 2 documentation.

Microsoft has also released overview videos and other helpful guidelines on its product updates page to help administrators acclimatize themselves and their users to the upcoming capabilities. More such guides for other products will be arriving later this month as well. In addition, you can also join the Release Readiness forum to discuss the features in more detail and satisfy your queries regarding the changes.
