Latest Xbox One 1910 build brings the Dashboard experiment to the Beta ring

Microsoft has unveiled the latest build for Xbox Insiders, this time targeting the Beta ring of the program.

Build 18363.7159, beyond featuring a fair few fixes and a bunch of known issues, also brings in the new Dashboard experience to Beta ring Insiders. This is part of the 19H2 branch, which you may remember dropped the "HOLD" reference at the end of the build string about a month ago.

As most folks will be aware the (slightly) redesigned home experience was unveiled back in July, though it only made its way to 50% of users - which was by design. This build will stick to the same formula, with the company even going as far as to mention that if you're not seeing the new experience, the Insider team cannot assist you in this matter. There are no other new features listed besides the Dashboard experiment.

Home (Experiment)

  • 50% of users will begin to see an experimental version of the dashboard. For more information on this experiment, please review the blog post on the Xbox Insider Blog here.
    • Note: This experiment is randomly selected and the Xbox Insider Team cannot assist with users who do not see it.

Here's what's been fixed in this latest build:

Guide

  • Fixed an issue where a game would show up as installing when installation had been cancelled.
  • Fixed an issue where an LFG post would disappear from the Guide.

Profile

  • Fixed an issue when changing online status in the profile.

Narrator

  • Fixed an issue where the narrator would not narrate sections of the Gamerscore Leaderboard in Guide.

System

  • Various updates to properly reflect local languages on the console.
  • Various improvements when closing games/apps on dashboard.

Do be aware that there are a fair few known issues to contend with:

Mixer

  • Users attempting to watch streams on the Mixer tab will launch the Mixer app when a stream is selected.
    • Note: This is expected behavior, as we’re currently investigating an issue with the Mixer Viewing improvements.

Audio

  • Users who have Dolby Atmos enabled and console display settings set to 120hz with 36 bits per pixel (12-bit) are experiencing loss of Dolby Atmos audio in some situations.
    • Workaround: Disable 120hz or set Video Fidelity to 30 bits per pixel (10-bit) or lower.

Dolby Access

  • Users are unable to complete the setup for Dolby Atmos in the app and the app is not recognizing Dolby Atmos headphones.
    • Note: This is an issue with the Dolby Access app and the app developers are aware and investigating.

Guide

  • Users are reporting that their Friends list is not updating with correct status.

Gamertag

  • Customers attempting to change their GT using the new Gamertag features on the console will not yet see those changes reflected on the console.

My Games & Apps

  • Some users have reported that they are missing some titles from their Ready to Install section.
    • Note: We have added additional logging to help investigate this behavior. If you encounter this on the latest update, please submit feedback and be sure to include the names of the titles that are missing in the description.

System

  • Some users have reported the console shutting down unexpectedly while using Netflix.
    • Note: The console may take longer to reboot/shut down than normal. This is expected behavior, please do not power off the console manually. There is essential information being collected to investigate the cause of the issue.
