Biggest discovery. Get around ISP site blocking.

So far it has worked. My ISP uses some evil Deep Packet Inspection and blocks random sites like telegram, proxy sites, etc.

The above script is some genius work which unblocks every website. No need for VPN to get around your ISP’s blocks. I used -3 as argument.

I think unblocking the website is one thing which is good but encryption along with unblocking would be great!! As, ISPs are notorious for keeping logs for activity as they sell our data to marketers, throttle speeds specially for games, torrents and streaming due to their bandwidth intensive consuming nature. With encryption they will not get any hold of your data if you use vpn which encrypts your data and if they do all they will get will be garbage. My ISP has blocked my ports for my certain games, throttles my speed.

My friend suggested to use vpn for these issues and for my surprise it resolved all my issues :D I can even play my games and access sites at campus too ;) I used purevpn at that time after it resolved all my issues I subscribed it. Don't go for my words just search any good vpn don't go for free vpns and subscribed it and forget about your digital footprint use internet with peace of mind.

Dutch ISPs also block some sites (TPB among others) and as an expat I can't watch iPlayer from The Netherlands, a good VPN solves it and I use PIA.

If you want to support Neowin use our affiliate link to get PIA or NordVPN 😛 https://www.neowin.net/store /shamelessplug

Lol it doesn't even work for my ISP

There are 4 configuration settings. I tried from -1 to -4. It works best for me on -3. Everyone's ISP will differ.

@Steven P.

You have to use -3 as an argument after GoodbyeDPI.exe

Then it will work. Do it in admin elevated cmd.

GoodbyeDPI.exe -3

If it works then install it as a service with -3 as argument with the cmd file.

    • To the average user, all of that detail is Greek to them. They don’t care to know. The thing is MS is taking a hard line approach to force the upgrade or else! And it feels coerced like its trying to satisfy the hardware side of business in getting you to buy new computers. That’s not proper communication of information to the customers. Yes, to us techies, those security gobblegook information is geek porn for us but not for them. Just tell them nicely “ The age of the hardware is too slow to support the OS and features, as software changes along with OS it requires faster hardware to keep up” and they will agree with you because the computer has become somewhat slow but with Apple you can still install the latest Sonoma on a Mac as old as 2016 and it doesn’t require the latest Secure Enclave chip.
    • The movie is geared towards families. Out of 10, I give it 5. I'm getting tired of the superhero format.
    • Anti-Microsoft "End of Windows 10 toolkit" released for unsupported Windows 11 PCs by Sayan Sen At the start of this month Neowin noticed Microsoft had quietly begun pushing the KB5001716 update, a periodic release that is meant to install feature updates on Windows 11 and Windows 10 computers. We speculated that this was likely the final push as the end of support for the latter was coming up soon (even governments are starting to warn users about it). However, after our report, Microsoft clarified that it no longer stealthily installs new feature updates any more, which is a nice gesture from the company, though the update still continues to do its other functions. Regardless, - and despite it still being bug-prone with Microsoft being completely self aware of it - the fact remains that the support for Windows 10 is indeed ending soon, though the tech giant has now made it a bit easier to opt for the Extended Security Updates (ESU) program with new options that allow users to extend the life of their systems for another year by not paying the $30. However, the Public Interest Research Group (PIRG) recently criticized Microsoft stating that this was too little to save "as many as 400 million" systems worldwide that would not be able to upgrade to Windows 11, suggesting that an extra year of support, despite being sort of free, was not helpful. Following that, Neowin noticed today that The Restart Project has also criticized Microsoft on the stringent hardware requirements for Windows 11 that make many relatively modern systems technically outdated. For those wondering, The Restart Project defines itself as a "people-powered social enterprise" and it advocates for the Right to Repair and against e-waste creation in order to help fight climate change. The group has released a new "'End of Windows 10’ toolkit" to help guide community repair groups on ways to deal with this massive upcoming change. The toolkit goes through several ways and steps in which such a group can help users. They are: Adding 'End of 10' support to the usual community repair events Running dedicated 'End of 10' parties similar to a Linux 'Installfest' Working with other local organisations For those contemplating how to proceed with the situation, if you indeed have an unsupported device, LibreOffice wants to convince you to switch to Linux, explaining the "real costs" of Windows 11. • There is a big difference, Apple yes has it’s own Secure Enclave chip but Apple doesn’t hold a gun to the user’s head and say “ in order to upgrade the latest greatest MacOS you. Must have a newer Secure Enclave chip for your own good” you can still install the latest MacOS on a Mac thats over 6 years old. With Apple they will just say “ Because the age of the Mac, you can’t install the latest OS because the hardware is to slow to support the latest OS and features” and that always work to get them tp upgrade, nothing about TPM 2.0 or security. I know because I work for Apple for 9 years.
