Google's new shopping website showcases this season's top trending gifts

Google updated its Google Shopping experience earlier in October. Now, the tech giant has launched Google Shopping 100, a microsite that features the most searched products via Google Search in the U.S. to help users "find inspiration for last-minute gifting." Google believes that highlighting items that are popular will give users fresh ideas, keeping them up to date with the latest trends.

The trending products are divided into eight categories: tech, kitchen gear, toys and games, accessories and apparel, gaming, sports and fitness, home goods, and personal care. Chinmoy Panigrahi, Product Manager at Google Shopping, says:

Spanning ages and interests, we’ve highlighted some of the top categories for holiday gifts, like tech, kitchen gear, and toys and games. We see a lot of warm, furry boots in accessories and apparel, while high tech vacuums are big in home goods.

Each category lists the 'top trending products', and clicking on one of the listings redirects users to the Google Shopping website which shows prices for that specific product from several online stores. Then, users may find the best deal by comparing the available prices. The top trending tech products for 2019 are listed below:

  1. Google Home
  2. Xiaomi Mi Note
  3. Nvidia Shield TV
  4. Motorola Moto One Action
  5. Razer Hammerhead Earbuds
  6. Samsung 6 series TV
  7. Amazon Echo Dot Kids Edition
  8. Amazon Fire TV Cube
  9. Roku HD Streaming Media Player
  10. Apple MacBook Pro
  11. Alter Lansing Mini H2O Speaker
  12. Google Nest Hub Max
  13. Razer Basilisk Mouse
  14. Apple TV
  15. Amazon Kind Fire HD 7 Kids Edition

Google notes that Monopoly, a traditional board game, is still a popular present among U.S. citizens. The microsite is currently live and you can view the lists by clicking here.
