Haiku has been in development since 2001 - LOL

Yes I remember BeOS. It was quite cool when it came out 24 years ago. Glad to see someone still has love and hope for it.

I remember on my PII 333 with a TV tuner. In BeOS I would double click the TV tuner app and it would open AND start playing live TV ..Instantly! ...  blink and it was open and playing.

I just want to try out in a virtual machine... I will never install in a machine. I love to experiment with weird OS.

I actually ran BeOS for the first time dual booting on my dual Pentium 2 400mhz system.   Brings back memories.

From what I remember it was all due to it being multi-threaded fully.  Every bit of the OS had that in mind, so it ran better the more cores it had to work with.    Just wonder what you could do with it on one of todays multicore systems.   That's why it got traction back then in the video editing workstation market.

Wonder if that will work on my old laptop... Goes to see...

Edit: Looks similar to PuppyOS... But again, my processor jumps up at anything. I just think there is something wrong with that CPU...
