why?

I just always knew to not dual partition an SSD. But, if someone says no, then whoopee-doo.

BUT, aside from that, if he loses his SSD, he looses everything. With 2x SSDs or SSD+HDD, you have more security. As I always was tought, save your important data in 3 different places. Off-premesis if you can.

You still haven't answer my third question: Why do you want an Intel processor?

Why don't you just have two different partitions (one for OS and one for data) on the same SSD?

Ehhhh that's probably from how i was used to coming from the HDD era, do not use same drive for everything, but after you comment i'm gonna start to think buying one bigger SSD would work well without problems, right? It's a different technology.

But...NVME scares me... i'ye read many good opinions on Samsung's EVO...

I'm attached to Intel, don't be upset but i don't want to look to AMD's options...Intel,Asus ROG for mobo and gpu served me well in all these years..

Here's the list updated changing storage but i cannot go for more than 500GB (SSD Driye will be Samsung MZ-76E1T0B/EU 1TB 860 EVO for 119€ BUTTTT Samsung Memorie MZ-V7S1T0 970 EVO Plus SSD Interno da 1 TB, NVMe M.2 it's 24..27€!!!

Cooler Master MasterCase MC500P
120.79€

G.Skill 16GB DDR4 16GB DDR4 3200MH
96.77€

Asus ROG STRIX Z390-F
208.32€

Asus ROG-STRIX-RTX2070 SUPER-A8G-GAMING
641,22€

Intel Core i7-9700K 3,6 GHz LGA 1151
395,97€

Cooler Master Hyper 212X

More relevant question to you, why would anyone do that? What would be the advantage?

Okay, so let say that he loss all his data, but his boot drive is fine.

What good does that do?

Got an idea, if i will...
REMOVE Sound BlasterX AE-5 Scheda (WILL BUY LATER)
PUT Samsung MZ-V7S500 970 EVO Plus SSD 500 GB, NVMe M.2
I could
CHANGE i7-9700K with i9-9900K and price will be 1789.77€!! was 1812,27€ but with i9 instead! I hope this i9 will WORTH the change!

Why do you come for advises when every time someone ask you why you are buying something, your answer is "brand royalty"?

You have your mind set, so what's the point of asking?

Because as may ppl i got my firm points, but u suggested me to try get an i9 and NVMe SSD! Things i didn't thought before, thank you a lot :)

What do u think of that storage change? The latest 970 Evo Plus ends up being one of the fastest M.2 drives around

...and what's the point of getting, let's say, a Core i9?

What good does that do?

MOSTLY, (not saying all) with SSD's if they are "broken", they are unreadable.

My OLD 60GB OCZ died years ago, but I took a looked at the PCB board, and nothing looked wrong. No blasted chips or anything.

One of the distinctive features of this CPU is Hyper-Threading technology, which allows this processor to process twice as many threads and operating frequency of the Intel Core i9-9900 is higher than the frequency of the Intel i7-9700, as a result the Core i9-9900 can execute most programs faster.

So are you arguing that he should use a hard drive instead of an SSD for his storage drive?

He boots? Instead of being 100% DOA?

I'd argue for two SSDs.

When ever did I say that? These days, HDDs are cheaper. If he wants 2xSSD, so...

He save time reinstalling Windows?

His data is gone if he doesn't back up...

I guess if a PC is a toy to you, not having a booting one isn't as critical. *shrug*

I thought that that is an argument for getting a hard drive (instead of an SSD) for a storage drive.

Maybe I should have asked this from the beginning.

What is the purpose of this PC?

Cooler Master Hyper 212X  it's enought for i9?

LOL, no

Core i9-9900K is notoriously power hungry and runs super hot.

Core i9-9900K uses as much power as the 16-core Ryzen 9 3950X despite the latter having twice as many cores.
