Looks like it directly ties into Spiderman given the end of the trailer.

Well, as per the spiderman comics, starts off as a bad guy because he can't control his need for blood.  But iirc, thanks to help from spiderman and maybe others, they find a way to at least keep it in check or something along those lines so he's more of an anti-hero later on.   Of course my info is hella old to, so i don't know what the current spin is.

I'd be shocked if it didn't after all the sony v marvel BS from a while ago.    This is Sony growing the Spider-verse like they should, but at the same time they're going to make sure it plays nice with the MCU.

Ha ha, you guys already beat me to it. Watching the trailer I was thinking, "huh...so Marvel have a super-human Batman..." And then with the appearance of Michael Keaton I just thought, "ok, that's really a nod."

 

But it looks like it could be fun, I'll keep an eye out for it.
