Is Red Dead Redemption 2 a decent game?

My daughter has been playing RDR2, and she really likes it, and says it is a fun game, but before I lay down $50 for it, I wanted to get opinions on it from anyone who has played it. It will be played on the PC (I have no consoles) and a few reviews that I have seen say that it is a decent game.

Decent is putting it mildly. It's a damn good game. Some might even say a masterpiece.

I don't know how old your daughter is, but I would also check the age rating.

She's 18, so no issues there! Thanks for your concern and suggestions!

Yeah loved the game. Great story, set pieces and graphics.

It's a slower game than most other Rockstar games which can throw lots of people off.

I don't think I have played any other Rockstar games, so that should not be an issue!

I really enjoyed this game, and definitely one of the bests from this gen.

I can't speak highly enough about it. The story is incredible, the land breath-taking. It truly feels like every individual has their own lives. I've finished the main story and I still find myself going back to roam around.  What's crazy is how it still surprises me. For example, I was just minding my own business the other day and passing through a town. Someone called my name, and it turned out to be a character I used to ride with. We hadn't seen one another in a long time and had a quick catch-up before she had to get on a tram. That level of detail and immersion is just...I don't think I've ever felt that in a video game.

Definitely worth buying, in my opinion.
