Metro 2033 and Last Light announced for Nintendo Switch

The two original adventures from the Metro series of post-apocalyptic shooter games are coming to the Nintendo Switch, Deep Silver and 4A Games announced today. These will be the Redux versions of the titles, meaning both Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light will arrive with all of the post-launch enhancements and DLC offerings.

This Metro Redux bundle will be releasing on the Nintendo Switch next month, February 28. This release will have physical and digital versions, with the former coming bundled with both games' campaigns and DLC in a single 16GB cartridge.

Some retailers will also have a special pack available named The Ranger Cache, giving out "a Metro Redux pin badge set, Game case sleeve, Double sided alternate artwork inlay, 4 double sided art cards and an A2 double sided poster" for those who pre-order the physical edition. Meanwhile, those who prefer the digital version can purchase the Metro 2033 and Last Light Redux games separately from the e-Shop.

With two games from the trilogy now soon arriving to the hybrid console, it may not be long before Artyom's latest adventure, Metro Exodus, reaches it as well. We will have to wait and see if 4A games manages to squeeze in the much more open-world game onto the Switch without sacrificing much.
