As of now Windows 7 is more secure than Windows 10

i think you misread my comment.

 

i did not write (or mean to imply) that Windows 10 cannot do that---only that Windows 7 was the first to allow this. Windows 8 and 8.1 can do this too.

Windows 7 does not remove internet explorer. It removes shortcuts.

i can show you for myself if you wish.

 

removing it removes the executable and unregisters protocol handlers.

I’ll concede it works that way now. It didn’t used to and it’s been years since I have run 7. However, it’s leaving ~37MB of DLLs and executables behind. So it’s still very much there, just not directly launchable.
