Looking for decent photo editing software

Question

jnelsoninjax    12,586

I would like something that operates similar to Adobe, but without the price! I just want something that can do basic editing, color enhancing, and stuff like that. I found one called Polarr, but it is fairly limited, and I don't want to spend the money to purchase the whole version if it is not something that I would use.

Besides GIMP that was mentioned above, another decent option is Paint.net (https://www.getpaint.net/).

Don't really know ... I've just heard good things about it (I use Photoshop myself).  I heard the UI may be a little overwhelming ... JayZJay's suggestion might also work and is a little bit more user friendly.  I would just give them a test drive and see ... they are both free and don't take up much space.

I've heard a lot of good things about Krita as a good open-source Photoshop alternative. Try it out :)
