The latest role-playing game by Obsidian Entertainment, The Outer Worlds, landed on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 in October of last year. Although a Nintendo Switch version was announced earlier in the year, the port was slated to arrive after the other platforms, and now, it is almost time.
The Outer Worlds publisher Private Division today announced that the Switch will receive the title on March 6, finally letting players explore the Halcyon system and its antics while on the go. In the original announcement, it was revealed that studio Virtuos was handling the Switch adaptation, which should still be the case.
The hit title will be available for purchase in both physical and digital formats on March 6. However, physical buyers should note that the box will only come with a download code, and won't include a cartridge.
Obsidian Entertainment isn't quite done with The Outer Worlds just yet. The studio is currently working on story expansions to the title, which are scheduled to arrive sometime this year. We will have to wait and see if the DLC will also be delayed on the Nintendo Switch release.
