Netflix will finally let you turn off autoplay previews when browsing

If you watch Netflix, you've probably noticed that when you hover over a title while browsing for too long, the service will start to play a preview for that show or movie. It's a feature that a lot of people despise, something proven by the fact that the streaming giant is finally doing something about it.

Yes, as of today, you'll finally be able to disable autoplay previews on Netflix. Many users have found their own workarounds, such as muting their TV while looking for something to watch, or simply trying to be fast enough to move onto the next thing before the preview starts playing. The good news is that you won't have to do that anymore.

However, this isn't a change that's going to happen automatically. You'll have to go into your settings and turn it off, so presumably, there are people that actually find autoplay previews helpful.

All you have to do is sign into Netflix from the web, select 'Manage Profiles', choose the profile where you want to make the change (yes, you have to do it for each profile), and then uncheck the box for 'Autoplay previews while browsing on all devices'.
