Today, Motorola announced two new entries into its mid-range moto g lineup, the stylus and the new power. Note that they're just called the moto g stylus and moto g power, as the company isn't numbering the devices anymore. For all intents and purposes, you can consider these to be from the moto g8 family.
As usual, both devices are pretty similar, containing a Snapdragon 665 chipset, 4GB RAM, and 6.4-inch FHD+ displays with hole-punch cut-outs. The g stylus has more storage at 128GB though, while the power had 64GB.
The moto g stylus also, of course, comes with a stylus, and it's the first moto g phone to do so. It's meant for precision while editing photos, drawing, writing on screenshots, and taking notes in the new Moto Note app.
It has a triple-lens camera, including a 48-megapixel f/1.7 main lens, a 16-megapixel Action Cam, and a two-megapixel Macro Vision camera. The Action Cam is a dedicated ultra-wide video camera, similar to what we saw on the Motorola One Action. It's limited to capturing 1080p 30fps video though, while the main sensor can handle 4K 30fps or 1080p 60fps.
The battery is 4,000mAh, and it can be charged with 10W rapid charging. This is actually a downgrade from last year's moto g7 and g7 power, which supported 15W charging.
Once again, the moto g power is made for days of battery life, packing the same 5,000mAh battery. This year includes a notable improvement though, since the screen on the g7 power was 720p, and it only had 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage.
The moto g power also has a triple-lens camera, although the main sensor is 16MP f/1.7. It also has the 2MP macro camera, but it also has an ultra-wide 8MP sensor that you can actually use to take pictures.
The moto g stylus and moto g power will cost $299.99 and $249.99, respectively, and they'll be out this spring.
