Fix for the Galaxy S20 series camera's autofocus issue rolls out in the U.S.

Samsung has rolled out a software fix for the camera autofocus issue of the Galaxy S20 series models sold in the U.S., though it's available only for the unlocked version at the moment. The firmware update was released to the phone's international variants two days ago, introducing improved camera performance for the handsets.

The latest update brings improvements to the focusing speed of the Galaxy S20 Ultra's camera, in particular. Samsung already acknowledged some issues with the device's camera prior to its launch and confirmed that it was working on a fix. There's mention of camera improvements for the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20+ in the latest update as well, though actual details for these changes are not specific. That said, the firmware update bears the build number G98xU1UEU1ATCH.

If you're not seeing the update notification on your phone, you can manually download the new changes by heading over to your phone’s Settings and then going to the Software update menu. Then tap the download button and install the latest firmware. There's no word for now as to when the U.S. carriers will bring the fix to their respective Galaxy S20 offering.
