MulletRobZ
Yesterday, this printer (Epson Stylus C62) was working fine. Then this morning, I was printing some scanned items and I wanted to cancel the job, so I turned it off. Now when I turn it on, I have a serious problem on my hands. My printer will not stop printing one-liners and I know that this has to do with the CUPS Cache. Nothing is listed in the KDE Printing Manager, unfortunately, so I can't clear any print jobs. How do I clear the print job queue and cache so I can restore functionality to this printer?
MrStaticVoid
Try deleting the printer from CUPS, then reinstalling it.
MulletRobZ
Took me about an hour since the post for me to figure out how to solve it and all I had to do was to kill the lpd process. After that, the printer works like normal again, thanks to some more detailed search results another time around.
