rageagainstmachine
Hi Folks, About to increase the memory of my Lenovo Ideapad S540-15IWL. stock; It has 8GB. 4GB SO-DIMM (pic attached), and 4GB soldered to board. My Laptop supports 20GB so I will replace the 4GB stick for a 16GB. Crucial says the following three are suitable. Crucial 16GB DDR4-2666 SODIMM Part # (CT16G4SFD8266) Crucial 16GB DDR4-2400 SODIMM Part # (CT16G4SFD824A) Crucial 16GB DDR4-3200 SODIMM Part # (CT16G4SFD832A) The price is pretty much the same for all three. the 2666 wouldn't arrive until next week, where as the other two can be here tomorrow! which is the best performance for my machine? Mindovermaster Moderator Posted May 24, 2020 Moderator Share Posted May 24, 2020 3200 would be the best in performance, but if somehow you cant afford it, any should be fine. I mean, it's only a small difference between the 3. Here's what Crucial says: https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/lenovo/ideapad-s540-15iwl rageagainstmachine 1 Share
