What should I do with thousands of sweet plums?

Recommended Posts

Years ago, another family (that we are still very close with) gave us plum trees.

Fast forward to today, it's practically raining plums.

We are giving away the plums and we still have so many that we don't know what to do with them.

Any ideas?

Make juice.

Make Wine! not just juice ;)  Or Brandy (Slivovitz)...  I think officially they need to be Damson plums - but hey plum is a plum right ;)  Sure you could make some sort of beverage worth drinking that has a bit more kick than just juice ;) hehehe

If you have space - freeze them. They will keep almost all nutritional value

Juice will not last. But I would attempt to do something stronger as well.
