Cyberpunk 2077 Night City Wire event's second episode arrives on August 10

CD Projekt RED is hosting another Cyberpunk 2077 Night City Wire digital event next week, with the second episode airing on August 10 at 6PM CEST via Twitch. According to the announcement on Twitter, the new episode will cover Lifepaths, the types of weapons that will be available, and details on the in-game band SAMURAI. The first episode from June dived into the Braindance system and announced an upcoming anime adaptation.

According to previously released information, Lifepaths are the various backstories the player character, V, can possess when starting a new game of Cyberpunk 2077. Players will be able to choose from Lifepaths like Street Kid, Nomad, and Corpo, and drastically change the prologue quests and how V starts the adventure. This episode will probably run viewers through various Lifepaths to showcase what can change from selecting different options.

As for weapons in Cyberpunk 2077, we have seen quite a few conventional and unconventional weaponry in previous trailers and showcases, from guns to blades that have been implanted into arms. It will be interesting to see what the developer has in mind to show off during the new episode.

Lastly, SAMURAI is an in-game band that is based on the real Swedish punk band Refused. The character that Keanu Reeves is playing, Johnny Silverhand, had a part in this band as well.

Cyberpunk 2077 is launching on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on November 19, 2020, with next-generation console variants planned for 2021. While waiting for that, those who want to experience another CD Projekt RED RPG can currently grab a free copy of The Witcher: Enhanced Edition from GOG thanks to its latest giveaway.
