  • Jim K changed the title to WandaVision

Other than them being a couple, I really don't understand the premise of this show.  I am absolutely going to watch it, but it just seems odd to me.  He's dead.  But hey, comics! (and that's why I love comics...)

I did like the trailer, so I'm hopeful that whatever the story line is, it will be good.

Well, in the comics Scarlet Witch has reality warping powers that she'll sometimes lose control of if something traumatic happens. I guess that's what's going on here.

I appreciate the insight!  I readily admit I don't know much about SW's comic history.  Makes sense now.

In the trailer, one of the characters said "aren't you dead" or something like that.  So looks like that may be addressed.

Yea, she's EXTREMELY powerful in the Comics. My guess is that her brain snaps (too soon?) and she

creates her own reality. All of the old TV show references could just be her subconscious trying to

re-establish normalcy. I did enjoy the comic-accurate costumes in the trailer; that was awesome. hehe

IIRC, she responsible for the mass depowering of mutants in the House of M comics.  Out of millions, only a few hundred were left with any powers. So yeah, she's powerful! 😮

MULTIPLE realities.  One of them takes down mutantkind altogether.

This is going to be messy - even if it just covers one of them.

I enjoyed the first two episodes which dropped last night.  Not going to get into spoilers...but it was different.

I didn't like the movie-length end credits though.  The first episode is listed as 30 minutes ... about 22 minutes in the credits started rolling (which I thought was part of the show)...but nope...just 8 minute long credits.

The credits were just stupid long for what little you got.

I have no idea what they are doing even pushing credits like that anyway with such little content.

I felt the whole thing just wasn't geared enough for my blood to be action packed of any sort. It felt more like I was watching a dumb down version of Pleasantville.

Unless it gets better with some action then I won't be following it very long.

No spoilers of course just lots of huh.

I sat through the whole damn lot of them just in case there was an end credits scene, too... :(

FWIW, I struggled getting in to it. It didn't hook me in at all. That 50's American sitcom feel seemed weird. Perhaps you need to be American and have grown up with it or at least be familiar with that style to appreciate it.

I'll give it another couple of episodes but I'm not hopeful I must admit.

Anyway, just my opinion.

If I go back and watch the trailer - it clearly gets a little better. Even the trailer tells people to expect them to get back to color at some point.

I'm the same way though, I'm waiting on it to get better but with only 30minute eps released maybe once a week I'll prob just put it all off till they are done with the whole season much like anything else being released.

They do this once a week thing to keep people subbed which me being a year sub I should be able to watch them all at once since I have no plans on dropping it.

Those that still have reservations about it after watching the first two episodes ... keep hanging in there.  It gets better at the end of Episode 3 and especially 4 (what is really happening becomes clearer).

Major spoilers below:

Spoiler

The timeline is clearer.

Will be interesting to see if they show how Wanda went down this path...and who all the other people are (Assuming they don't know?  Their families believing they didn't snap back?  Maybe they are just part of Wanda's imagination/alternate universe?)

The Avengers need to bring on board some psychiatrist and/or grief counselors.

Things are finally picking up but I'm a little discouraged about the size of each Ep as being very little then they add on 15minutes of credits.

I'm thinking about doing the same thing I did with Picard and just wait till the whole thing is done and then watch.
