Just a week away from its official unveiling, more images and details of Google’s upcoming Pixel 5 handset have leaked. The information, courtesy of WinFuture, provides the most detailed look yet at the specifications of the device, including the camera specifics, battery capacity, and more.

Corroborating various earlier rumors, the phone is expected to sport a 6-inch FullHD+ OLED display that supports HDR. The display is said to house a 90Hz high refresh rate panel covered by Gorilla Glass 6. The front-facing camera duties are done by a top-left aligned 8MP unit that sits in a hole punch cutout. There is no under-display fingerprint scanner since the search giant is equipping the phone with a capacitive reader at the back, leading to a much smaller bezel on the front. It is also expected to come with IP68 certification for water and dust resistance.

The back of the device is said to sport a dual-camera setup, with the main unit housing a 12.2MP Sony sensor with an F/1.7 aperture, which also features dual-pixel phase detection autofocus. The pixel size is expected to be 1.4μm. The main camera will unsurprisingly be optically and electronically stabilized. The second unit will reportedly hold a 16MP wide-angle lens with a 107-degree field of view.

As for the internals of the phone, it is expected to be powered by a 5G capable Snapdragon 765G SoC coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device is said to support both sub-6 and mmWave 5G frequencies. Power to the device will likely be supplied by a 4080mAh battery, which can be topped up using an 18W power adapter.

The report suggests that the Pixel 5 will be offered in Germany for €629 (approximately $736). It has been widely reported that Google’s next flagship will be an upper mid-range phone with modest specifications offering superior camera capabilities. It will be interesting to see how the company pits its offering when it takes the virtual stage next week. The firm is also expected to debut the Pixel 4a 5G for $499 at the same event.
