There's no need to force home users to Windows 11 because they don't have a TPM 2.0. The arguments about Bitlocker and their biometric data leaking are specious when a very large percentage of users will continue to use their Win 10 machines and just not receive security updates to the OS, putting them at far more risk. This is more about Microsoft easing their support burden by supporting a narrower hardware platform at the time when they're adding the burden of ARM. And maybe kickbacks from hardware vendors?

One can choose to believe what Microsoft says about why hundreds of millions of PCs running W10 will not run W11. Just to rehash, Microsoft said there are three primary reasons they chose to prevent those computers from runing W11. 1. Stability. They found according to them a lot more system crashes on those computers when they ran W11. This of course could happen for a number of reasons. 2. Security. Microsoft claims W11 is more secure due to additional security features built in. More secure means less headaches for users and Microsoft in trying to keep those computers secure. 3. Compatibility. With an increase in gaming, video conferencing and productiviy Microsoft has developed a core set of applications in W11 to support this. Why they chose to not do the same for Windows 10 your guess is as good as mine. Though I would venture to say that a number of processors and related components on Windows 10 computers do not support the new core applications.

Don't give me this "Apple doesn't do this" ######. They've not allowed OS upgrades because the UI graphics were too intensive, not allowing one to simply use less shading, etc. If you've been working for Apple for nine years you surely know what I'm talking about. This isn't the only example of Apple setting arbitrary requirements. I've been using Macs since February of 1984, and ][+ before that.
