Google is set to hold a hardware event later today, where the company will officially reveal the new Pixel 5, as well as a 5G variant of the Pixel 4a. However, with just a few hours to go before the unveil, leakster Jon Prosser has gone ahead and shared live images of the device, showing off its design in full.
The images shared on Twitter show both the front and back of the device, with a display sporting minimal bezels and a punch-hole cutout for the front-facing camera. That display has been rumored to be a 6-inch OLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 2340x1080 resolution.
Meanwhile, the back of the device shows off the square camera module with two sensors, an LED flash, and a microphone. The rear of the phone also includes a fingerprint sensor. The body itself seems to be textured, and you can also see the volume rocker and power button on the side, the latter being a different color from the phone itself.
Prior to this leak, most of the phone's specs had already been revealed, including a Snapdragon 765G chipset, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 4,000mAh battery. The rear cameras are said to be a 12.2MP main sensor and a 16MP ultra-wide lens.
Google is also set to announce the Pixel 4a 5G today, and the rumored specs for that are similar in some ways, though the display is bigger, at 6.2 inches, and it lacks the 90hz refresh rate of the Pixel 5. It also comes with just 6GB of RAM and a smaller 3,800mAh battery. The Pixel 4a 5G has been officially confirmed to cost $499, while the Pixel 5 has been rumored to cost $699, though that has yet to be confirmed.
