Best Buy's Black Friday kicks off on October 13

Best Buy has announced that it will make some of its Black Friday deals available next week, starting Tuesday. Black Friday, the name given to the Friday following Thanksgiving Day in the U.S., features a plethora of deals from retailers wanting to drive a ton of sales in a brief period.

The two-day event, which will kick off on October 13, is happening on the same dates as Amazon's Prime Day 2020. The retailer runs anti-Prime deals each year, and since this year's Prime Day is happening close to Black Friday due to COVID-19, Best Buy is making the offerings appear under the label of the shopping holiday.

Some of the deals available next week have been announced, which include:

  • Samsung 70-inch Class 4K Smart TV for only $529.99 (Save $220)
  • Laptops starting at $119.99
  • JBL Free True Wireless headphones only $69.99 (Save $80)

Best Buy has also addressed price matching, stating that if something bought next week is offered for a better price before Black Friday, the retailer will refund customers the difference. However, the refund will only be made for items that have a "Black Friday Price Guaranteed" label on the product page, and for purchases that are made while signed into a free My Best Buy account. The retailer said that reimbursements will take place by December 14.
