According to a report, Xiaomi will soon launch its Mi Smart Speaker in several European markets. The company had launched the Google Assistant-powered smart speaker in India last month. The Mi Smart Speaker aims to be an affordable entry into your smart home ambitions.
Xiaomi wants to enter the category riding on its value-for-money pitch in true Xiaomi fashion. It takes on entry-level products from Google and Amazon - Google Nest Mini and Amazon Echo Dot - but offers a superior audio experience that competes with the more expensive Nest Audio and Amazon Echo devices.
The report suggests that the Mi Smart Speaker will be priced at 52.99 Euros in Spain and 59.95 Euros in Portugal. This is in line with the pricing in India (₹3,999) – essentially, similar to Nest Mini or Amazon Echo Dot but with a better and louder sound, undercutting more premium offerings.
