I have to be honest, I have never seen a episode of Jeopardy. I don't think I have ever seen any game shows with the exception of a few price is right back in the 90s.

Damn, my friends dad just got diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer last month.  Same age as John Lewis and Alex Trebek.  We're hoping for more time, but well clearly odds are not on his side.

 

Will miss Trebek.

I'm really heartbroken right now. He was amazing Jeopardy host and I thought he would somehow successfully battle through his cancer and live longer. But sadly, we lost a great man.

 

RIP Alex, you will be greatly remembered! ☹️

I know there was Jeopardy before Trebek, but Trebek was Jeopardy...it wont be the same with a new host

I felt the same way when we lost Art Fleming (who hosted "Jeopardy!" pre-Trebek).  Where Trebek did right was NOT hiding his illness.  (He is one of those famous folks that put a human face to cancer; among those that did the same is the late Marion Barry and Ron Rivera - in addition to Trebek.)

I don't think I ever saw Jeopardy before Trebek, I'm probably not old enough lol... I just remember back to the 90s
