kiddingguy
I have an Asus ROG Chakram. How can I wirelessly connect this for best performance and connectivity? Via Bluetooth or the 2.4GHZ RF dongle supplied with it? From what I understand is that RF offers lower latency, so better for gaming etc. Right? Jim K Global Moderator Posted November 18, 2020 Global Moderator Share Posted November 18, 2020 That is my understanding...that RF offers lower latency than BT. However, you may not even notice the difference. Battery life will probably be better with the BT. If solely for gaming where input lag is critical...RF or even wired (if it has the option). Could just try both and see if you have any issues with one or the other.
Mindovermaster Moderator Posted November 18, 2020 Moderator Share Posted November 18, 2020 If you're having it as the desk, BT should work fine. But if you are sitting on your bed/couch across the room, you'll get a little inteference. But like Jim said, try both and see for yourself which one is better. Brandon H Supervisor Posted November 18, 2020 Supervisor Share Posted November 18, 2020 one thing to keep in mind is you won't be able to wake your computer with the mouse if using it over bluetooth I don't believe; so that's one thing that makes the dongle better if you care about that functionality.
