I have a HP pavillion running windows XP pro an imac running 10.3 a B&W G3 and a iBook g3 all running 10.3. I also have PC MACLAN latest version on my pc, also all systems have latest patches and updates. here is the problem the macs can all see and connect to each other but when I try to connect to the pc the macs can not see the pc, Also the PC cannot see the macs unless I make appletalk active then the pc caN SEE THE MACS BUT CANNOT CONNECT TO THEM aqnd the macs stil cannot see the pc. I DONT UNDERSTAND WHAT IS HAPPENING!! I have had all of these computers networked before before I moved them but now that I have moved they seem not to work and I DOINT KNOW WHY ANY IDEAS ANYONE ???????? mr_daemon Posted February 12, 2004 Share Posted February 12, 2004 Actually, you don't need PC MacLan. Just turn on Samba (Windows Sharing), this should get you rid of the issue. And of course, PC MacLan is basically AppleTalk for the PC, so that's why you have to turn it on. i DO NOT mean to be yelling but I cant seem to turn this function off on xp it types random in caps Uh.. right. I assume it also removes any form of ponctuation in your sentences? ;P Anyways, yes, just enable Windows Sharing, it should work from there.
