mikee286
I currently have a 2016 Acer Aspire e17 with a core i5 7200U and Geforce 940MX. I'm not a hardcore gamer by any means but do like to play something every so often. This computer is starting to act up and show its age. What I am wondering is how does the current generation Ryzen APU graphics compare performance wise to a Geforce 940MX. I'm thinking of getting a laptop with a ryzen 5 4500u or ryzen 7 4700U. I play most of my games at 720p. I mainly play Minecraft, BeamNG Drive, GTA V, 7 days to die, Teardown. I can currently play all these at very low settings at 720p or higher on the 940MX. I feel like I'm being held back in the CPU department in most cases. I would like to know how the Ryzen APU graphics stack up to the 940MX. I can't find a definitive answer anywhere some say the Ryzen is better others say the 940MX is better but I don't know. I just don't want to downgrade.
