John Veteran Posted February 12, 2004 Veteran Share Posted February 12, 2004 i've noticed this for a while, and it's not very serious, but i keep noticing it... a "hot" thread has a red icon instead of a normal one, and a thread turns "hot" once it has 50 or more posts. however, the forum is giving threads the hot icon when they reach 49 posts, NOT 50 like it should... see pic:
Tim Dorr Veteran Posted February 12, 2004 Veteran Share Posted February 12, 2004 49 is the number of replies. If you count the first post, there are 50 in that thread.
John Veteran Posted February 12, 2004 Author Veteran Share Posted February 12, 2004 well can we include the original post then or something? change "number of replies" to "number of posts" or something?
Tim Dorr Veteran Posted February 12, 2004 Veteran Share Posted February 12, 2004 No, that would change things too much. Namely, I'm used to seeing a 0 as an indicator that noone has replied to a thread. It would throw things off for a lot of people.
jack_canada
ya, not really a bug
Joel
49 or 50, does it really matter that much? I don't know about you, but I don't spend my time on Neowin making sure the red icons have more than 50 posts. ;)
CtotheJ
The bigger bug in that picture is that Invision adds the '...' before the fourth page.
