wilfried
I am looking for an app, that will run either on my pc or my mac, I need it to sync files and folder between the PC and the Mac... I tried the demo of "FoldersSynchcronizer" on the Mac. Looked good but I don't feel like paying $40.... Anyone using something reliable and cheap or free? Thanks
the evn show
This is exactly what Rsync is for. It's unix utility that keeps two folders syncronized to eachother. rsync is part of os x by default but it requires some command line hacking. YOu might want to check versiontracker to see if there is a nice front end for it. If your PC is running a *NIX operating system then setting it up should be pretty much identical to how to do it with your mac. If you're using windows you'll need to try and find an rsync port for windows. I don't have any details on exactly what you need to do, but these packages are widely used and well documented so a little time with google should tell you all you need to do.
