monofonik
I know these two don't mix, and I know I probably won't hear much otherwise, but is there any alternatives to Virtual PC I could use while waiting for the next version? My Dad needs to use a Windows program called Maximizer to manage his client database. There's no Mac version available and there doesn't seem to be any Mac software that would import the database. Pilsbury
Bochs may be of use... http://bochs.sourceforge.net/
dreamthief
i doubt Bochs can help solve the problem here (looking through the description). @monofonik You are totally out of luck then. Virtual PC is the far best and only software that able to emulate Windows while running on Mac platform. I guess you just have to wait till an update is available for G5 support. ;)

Fork out a bit of cash for what? Your response leaves much to be questioned.

uniacid
if you can run it in VPC then (Y)
Elliott
if you can run it in VPC then (Y) VPC 6.1 doesn't work on G5s as of right now. I would go with just buying a cheap PC, hook it up to some crappy CRT or LCD, and use that.
bluebsh
G5 systems are lacking pseudo indian (i forget if thats it, but its pseudo something) support that VPC relies on that previous processors had, for it to work on G5 they are going to have to completely recode the emulation functions in VPC, which is near a complete rewrite, expect a year or two before you see a version of this that can run on the G5. Connectx was apparently working on a version before the sell out, so maybe it will be out sooner then later.

Mihael
How fast is anyway Virtual PC? I mean how fast works VPC equivalent to PC dekstop? Example: 800 MHz P3 == 1800 MHz G5 Can anyone tell me that in a conclusion or post a link or something... but conclusion is way better.
