The Normandy SR1 from Mass Effect comes to No Man's Sky

Mass Effect&039s Normandy in No Mans Sky

Mass Effect fans can now take a break from the Legendary Edition to boot up another sci-fi game to catch the SSV Normandy SR1 in action. The No Man's Sky community that completed the second expedition (Beachhead) that arrived at the game last week had a surprise waiting for them when they reached its end, with Shepard and the crew's stealthy vessel greeting them as the reward.

The official cross-over between the two space games had spawned out of a collaboration between Hello Games, BioWare, and EA. The No Man's Sky Expeditions update from last month delivered this form of seasonal community missions, where all players in the mode strive towards a single objective by completing various milestones situated across the stars.

The Beachhead expedition had space goers accomplish milestones that had them figuring out the purpose of the "Historiographical Dosimeter", translating hidden messages, and attending to monoliths spread across the universe among their steps to finally summon the surprising grand prize.

With the mystery out of the way, the Normandy is available to be added permanently to the frigate fleet of anyone that completes the Beachhead expedition. Interested fans may want to hustle though, as the expedition and the opportunity to claim its sleek reward will go away on May 31.

It sounds like this won't be the only crossover we will be seeing from Hello Games going forward. This August will mark the fifth anniversary of No Man's Sky, and the studio has said to expect more surprises soon.
