Looking for an AMD processer with Graphics, For a Linux Computer

Recommended Posts

Hi guys. I am thinking of getting a new computer but for development on Linux (I will be using alma Linux). So no gamming, but normal office work and watching videos (like YouTube).

So what I need now is to find a processer with a build in graphics (I am going with AMD Ryzen) with enough cores and that is capable in viewing video in 4k or better. I have don't think I will be needing any graphics cards for my requirements. Plus I am thinking of getting a small case that can fit a mini-itx motherboard.

Hard disk space and RAM is easy. What is important is finding the perfect AMD processer for my needs. And I don't think the price will be that high for my requirement.

Please advice me and thank you.

Even a little MinisForum computer can run 4k..

It totally depends on what chipset you have/are-getting. Because my current X470 motherboard won't work with the newer 5000 series.

Right now, they are not selling out the 5600G for retail. They should be available late this year.

If you want, you can still get the 4650G/4750G off AliExpress for a good price.

I am not in a rush. So I will be waiting for the 5600G to be available.

Just wondering if all processers these days do include graphics build-in? or some models are better? Sorry but I haven't build a computer since 2011, so consider me outdated.

Thanks,

The X models, no. Only "G" and "U" (inbedded) have graphics.
