goretsky Supervisor Posted September 16, 2021 Supervisor Share Posted September 16, 2021 Hello, Generally speaking, faster speeds of DDR3 SO-DIMMs are backwards-compatible with slower speeds, and will just run at that speed when installed in a system that cannot use the faster speed. You can check with the memory manufacturer to verify this for a specific part number you are interested in (if you have that).
