Just as 343 Industries announced earlier this week, Halo Infinite has been opened up to Halo Insiders again. The first weekend of this double Technical Preview drop comes with access to player versus player Arena from the get-go, alongside the content, including Bot Arena, seen during the previous flight.
Invites to eligible Insiders, which is essentially everyone who signed up prior to September 13, have begun rolling out across PC and Xbox consoles. Those with invites can head to the Halo Waypoint Insider Support hub to get orientated before jumping straight in.
To better stress test the servers, the Social Arena playlist opens matchmaking only at specific times each day, see the schedule below:
- Friday, September 24th - 10am-2pm and 5pm-9pm PT
- Saturday, September 25th - 10am-2pm and 5pm-9pm PT
- Sunday, September 26th - 10am-2pm and 5pm-9pm PT
The Technical Preview closes for the weekend on September 27 at 10AM PT, with festivities starting back up on Friday, October 1 at 10AM PT. The second weekend is when 343 will engage its overhauled 12 versus 12 Big Team Battle (BTB) mode. Even though the test is Halo Insider exclusive for now, the studio has said it is planning to give out access to more players next weekend, perhaps via friend invite keys.
To give an overview of what's available, the maps Live Fire, Bazaar, Recharge, Behemoth, and Fragmentation (BTB only) are playable across Slayer, Capture the Flag, Stronghold, and Total Control (BTB only) game modes. As previously said, Bot Arena, Training Mode, Weapon Drills, and Battle Pass elements are accessible during both weekends as well.
