+Warwagon MVC Posted October 2, 2021 MVC Share Posted October 2, 2021 Sometimes you can go to the control panel and uninstall the update and reinstall it and it gets the memo it's already installed. Bruinator 1 Share
Bruinator
For about 10 days now my laptop is trying to install KB5005565 and it fails every time with an error msg of 0x80070005. How can I fix this so it will stop trying to update my pc again. Either by turning it off or by some other method. I appreciate your help. I tried this: Go to the search box > type msconfig Select System Configuration > go to Services tab Select Hide all Microsoft services > Disable all Go to Startup tab > Open Task Manager > Disable all the unnecessary services running there. Restart your computer and check for updates. It did not work. Any ideas guys? TIA
SnoopZ
According to a few posts here reinstalling Microsoft Edge fixed the problem for them. At that bottom of page 1, Raccoons post and others after https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/problem-installing-latest-security-update/ef66ec9c-e53e-44c8-a0d4-aa4db18d0132?page=1 .
