G3 Ibooks at PC world for

Recommended Posts

well, aren't they around 900$ right now anyway?

Well, in the UK, they're a bit more expensive than the $1,100 we get them for (they go for ?849 or around $1600 here). ?499 is quite a bargain over there:ninja:a:

The only thing that's stopping me snapping one of these up right away is the (widespread?) Logic Board problems. Now I realise that the Apple Support Forum is not the best place to go for reasurance but it does appear to be a major issue. Don't want to spend ?500 and then have it go ###### up in a few months....

hmmmm:unsure::

if it was $900 US it would be a horrible deal. for practically the same price you can get a 800 mhz G4 ibook with twice the ram and a better video card.

you think i should get one? are they worth it

Well, in comparison to your laptop I would probably say so if you actually need to carry it around. But then again, they're pretty low on specs.
