farmeunit
The fans come with two leads. I have the one marked for controller attached to the controller. Do I need the other plugged in? I couldn't really find a good answer on it. I only have two ports on my X570 Elite Wifi. 1 has a Corsair fan and the other a stock NZXT fan. They all function from changing LEDs and spinning, but not sure if I am losing fan control, or exactly what else without the other lead plugged in. Wasn't sure if it was only for installs without a controller.
Mindovermaster Moderator Posted December 6, 2021 Moderator Share Posted December 6, 2021 (edited) you can always get a Y-splitter. https://www.amazon.com/Rosewill-Splitter-Duplicator-Converter-Adapter/dp/B01N0XQ7XC/ref=sr_1_9?keywords=case+fan+y+splitter&qid=1638827311&sr=8-9 I think that extra cable is only for controlling its speed. Via BIOS or some software like speedfan.
farmeunit
Thanks for that. I kept meaning to look for a splitter and forgot. I figured they had them but wasn't sure.
