A jury has convicted Ghislaine Maxwell, the longtime associate of serial sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, on five of six counts related to the abuse and trafficking of underage girls.

Maxwell faced a six-count indictment for allegedly conspiring with and aiding Epstein in his sexual abuse of underage girls between 1994 and 2004. She has been held without bail since her arrest in July 2020 and has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The verdict came on the sixth day of jury deliberations, after about 40 hours of deliberation.

well at least we didn't have a hung jury...... too soon?

I know you are joking, but the jurors were not allowed to leave until they deliberated due to COVID-19 concerns as well. I expect lengthy appeals.

I like when a jury takes it's time, at least they are actually looking at the case instead of the almost insta verdicts you get sometimes that feel like they made their minds up way too fast.

Sequestered juries are not that unusual in the US, especially major cases where publicity is high. Apeals are given anyhow.

Prince Andrew is going to be implementing maximum subversion protocols right about now. He's going to be coming under increased scrutiny from here on in.

Yep,

All hail the sacrificial lamb. No one else will face justice.

WRT Prince Andrew, I'm not defending him in any way, but there's a couple of important things to remember.

1. The allegations made are for when the accuser was 17

2. It allegedly happened in London.

The age of consent in the UK is 16, so no laws were broken.  As sickening as the idea of someone his age having sex with a 17 year old is, if he DID do it, he committed no crime in the UK and US laws cannot apply.  So Maxwell's conviction really doesn't make any difference to Prince Andrew.   She has no case and the only consequence he will face is in the court of public opinion.

Well, we all pretty much know Trump is in there, but odds are a large proportion of the ruling elite are in there too...

I would be shocked beyond belief if Trump's and Clinton's names are not in the book.

IMO, the only one NOT in that book is probably Obama... He's just not a creepy guy, unlike pretty much all the rest of them... And I don't just mean American elites either...

He's no angel, but he doesn't make my skin crawl either, y'know?

Bullcrap - I bet you Obama last name is in there. I know he seems more presentable and that is how he got to be the first black US president but trust me there is no chance be what he is in USA politics without some crazy stuff involved.

In fact I think you don't make it so far unless you are controlled. And to be controlled someone need kompromat on you.

Anyway you might not share this option - but the REAL ruling elite does not want to give power to politicians that are not willing to do what they are told.

Happy new year!

A lot of people would sleep better if she was dead for sure. Don't be surprised if she commits "suicide" eventually while the cameras are broken cause you know you must wait for the cameras to be broken to commit suicide.

The laws are probably very close to Canada. For one prostitution is probably not legal. For two under 18 prostitution is probably even less legal. Dunno about UK but in Canada while you can have sex between 16 and 18 you certainly can't consent to prostitution and any client of an under 18 prostitute is doing an illegal activity. IF Price Andrew had sex with her and IF he paid for it there's probably no notion of consent possible anymore.

Sure, but proving that is next to impossible.

But was she from the UK or was she trafficked to the UK for sex with older men? The consent law wouldn't protect them in that case.

IF she was trafficked, it was Epstein or Maxwell that did it. I very much doubt the eventual customer knew anything and she doesn't exactly look under duress in that photo...

Either way, the actual alleged abuse happened in the UK, so UK laws would have precedence.

Just going off memory here, but the people listed in the "little black book" and Lolita Express flight log include Clinton, Trump, Bill Gates, Chris Tucker... who am i missing?

Also, does anyone remember the framed painting in Epstein's house of Bill Clinton in the blue dress? There were pictures released when the FBI raided the place. What that legit or fake?

IIRC; if a US citizen is the victim it doesn't matter where the offense occurred -  the US can and will extradite to prosecute it under our laws. It's not unusual for serial predators to end up in a supermax.
