Xylene
I am going to be getting a free Performa 6400(PowerMac 6400) from someone I know.. its got a 603e in it, at 200mhz. I think its got 16MB ram, unless they've upgraded it. I was wondering, what would be the best version of Mac OS to run on this?
Bling3k12
Supported OSes on that Mac is Mac OS 7.5 through 8.6 and 9.0 I'd go with 9.0 if you can, but 8.6 is a good OS :)
Pilsbury
You'll need to upgrade the memory a bit to make it in any way usable... But, 9 would be the OS to go for... OS9Forever (www.os9forever.com) makes 9.2.2 possible...
isus
os9... 7.6 was a great os, and from the stories i have heard, you want to stay away from 8...

the evn show
did you really need to ask? As much as you can possibly fit. 64mb is a pretty good starting point.

Xe|oN
I ran Debian on a 6400/200 at work as the intranet server for a year or 2 until it died the other day :( Now I have Debian running on a P3 800, just doesn't have that same achievement/coolness factor to it :p By the way check out http://www.zone6400.com it is an excellent site dedicated to 5400, 5500, 6360, 6400, 6500 series Macs and what is possible with them.
