Apple Music is now available on all Roku devices

Roku has been steadily giving support for Apple apps since the last couple of years. Now, the streaming company has announced that is it adding support for Apple Music on its platform which includes streaming players, Roku TV devices, and Roku premium audio products like the Roku Streambar pro.

With Apple Music, Roku users can access more than 90 million songs and around 30,000 expert-curated playlists for different occasions. Roku users can also stream Apple Music Radio and watch music videos in 4K as well on compatible devices.

Existing Apple Music subscribers can simply use their credentials to login to the Apple Music app on their Roku device. For new users, Apple Music plans are available for purchase starting at $9.99 per month.

Apple Music is also available on a bunch of other non-Apple devices like gaming consoles, Samsung smart TVs, and more. The support for Apple Music on Roku devices is rolling out starting today. Users can find the app on the Roku channel store. For those subscribing for the first time, you also get a free one month trial for the music service.

Apple Music is competing against market leader Spotify that has 422 million active users per month, with around 182 million out of those using its premium paid service. While Apple hasn't made the figures public yet for a long time, but the last time it did in 2019, it said that there are around 60 million users using the paid subscription service.
