Fred Derf Veteran Posted February 16, 2004 Veteran Share Posted February 16, 2004 Okay I had a little trouble earlier editing the gui login screen that comes with my Knoppix/Debian installation. The KDE3 Control Center -> System Administration -> Login Manager allows you to add window managing sessions to the login screen. You only need to make sure there is a symbolic link in the /usr/bin folder. I now have xfce4 and gnome installed and added to the menu properly. xfce4's file manager is a bit slow when displaying folders with a lot of files and subfolders. It takes a few seconds to display /usr/bin for example. Luckily te xfce3 file manager still works in xfce4 so that's solved my problem.
