First of all, if you actually expect an answer to a question like this, you think you might wanna tell us what the hell you have? Makes sense, yes? Secondly, there are already 4000 threads in this forum asking the same thing - "Which Linux distro is the best?" Try a search. The most popular ones seem to be Gentoo, Slackware, Debian, Mandrake, SuSE, and Redhat/Fedora Core.

kongit
most linux distributions should not interfere with windows. slackware is not a good place to start. If you have time its a great way to learn though. I suggest you stick with mandrake. If you google you can find all sorts of themes for the different guis that come with mandrake. the 2 most common are kde and gnome. both of these have a lot of skins. google is your friend

Some installations are as simple as double-clicking an icon. Others have build scripts. There are always (usually) instructions in the form of a "readme" or something with anything more complex than a "click this to install" type of thing. As for your nVidia drivers in Linux, you will need to download it to a *writeable* Linux partition, as I believe it uncompresses itself. You will then have to exit your X Window environment (do an "init 3" at a console with root permissions) and execute their script from a command prompt. Mike Douglas
in the gooeylinux gnome download section you can find a lot of the Apple-look-alike work by rezza, md5brane and roberTO. And if you want to ask any of these guys a question just post it in the General Theme Help forum.
