Here's something critical:

If you only *think* you need the portability, you don't need the portability

I've seen countless people buy a portable computer and only leave it on their desk. Sure, they have the option to take it wherever, but it's not often and not worth the expense. Get the iMac. I had one (sold it to my roommate), it's great, well-built, high quality, very fast, whisper quiet. It's probably the best Mac they make, next to the PowerMac.

i only think ill use the portability. i know i wudnt use it much at home, and went i went to college i believe 1 out of 3 of my choices only has wifi, so... :D

maybe he gets a way to make os x run on an x86:D :D

i don't have a mac personally, ye:shifty:ty:

i use them at school, and my father works for the school and has an ibook... so i installed jaguar (apple was giving it free to teache:happy:py: ). it's not the best osx machine, but it's good enough for now... until i get my g5 pboo;);)

edit: i think (but am not sure) you can run osx on x86... there is a maconlinux program... i have never looked at it, so i am probably very wrong... but you can certainly get darwin (what osx is based on) and run that on osx.

or you could break into apple and steal... damn, what's the name of it... mandark i think... it is the only x86 box that runs osx. just in case i suppos:devil:il:

edit 2: the actual name is marklar, not mandark:p:p
