New case for Asus P2B-VM?

Recommended Posts

Ummm, who the hell uses this board anymore? I'm not even sure if that is ATX...

Look at page 11, y'all.. https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/slot1/440bx/p2b-vm/p2bvm-104.pdf

That's a Pentium 2/3..

It should be in a museum or in the trash.

Well, being it ATX, it should fit in any case. But as for vintage computing, I don't think it would fit in anything..

Guys?

Look at the Cooler Master N400. Also if you can forgo the dedicated floppy slot and just convert one of the 5.25" slots then you may have more choices such as the Fractal Design Focus G or SilverStone PS11.

...all seem a bit expensive for a "retro" build.

I think those are ok. I've always invested more on cases than in other components. My current case in living room cost more than 1000$/€

$1000 JUST for the case??? Is it encased in diamonds?

Not in its stock format.  However, with a Dremel you could make it work....

Hello,

A few more options I found on Newegg:

Note that a low-height CPU cooler probably needs to be used with these.

Yeah any micro-atx case should fit. I hope you have the i/o panel as older 440bx ones are hard to find without spending an outrageous sum.  Since the P2b-VM has onboard ATI Rage 3d, it would be a great board to pair with a voodoo2. I use a P2B in my retro PC with a p3 550 and a voodoo 3
