Technique Posted December 21, 2022 Share Posted December 21, 2022 A mixture of their 'help' & my lack of knowledge is leading to hitting a wall on this. I used to be able to access it via file explorer in Windows 10 but since the update I can't do that any more. I click their guide which basically tells me the connection needs to be local yet mine is direct and I don't know how to make it local. WD tell me to "wait" but I told them it's been 45mins, how long am I to wait? They said to restart the PC. Convenient I thought as it'd remove me from the chat, but I restarted the PC yesterday and it didn't change it from direct to local either. It says connected locally on my mobile phone but they tell me I can't sort file explorer access that way. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Technique Posted December 23, 2022 Author Share Posted December 23, 2022 Sorted the issue. Accessing on a desktop via a browser wouldn't work. In the end & by chance, I tried the WD icon in the system tray to see what the settings said in that. This opened it in file explorer. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
